Fans of the Chicken Invaders game for the PC will be glad to know that there are various cheats that can be used while playing. If you are a current or repeat player of the title, you can simply turn on the cheat mode and enjoy to your heart’s content the amount of “additional help” you can get. Of course, by enabling the cheats, you won’t be able to receive any medals as it automatically turns the feature off. On the other hand, if you are just looking to have a good time and kill alien chicken, then by all means use as much cheats as you want.
To be able to use the Chicken Invaders cheats, you first need to turn the feature on. Do this by accessing the game menu and simply enabling the cheat mode. Or, alternately, you can start playing the game and press F9 + f10 at the same time. Turning the cheat mode off can be done in the same manner as well. So now, what are the cheats and what buttons do you need to press in order to access them in the first place? If you want to have an extra life, press F5 on your keyboard. This will give you an additional life to last longer in the game. This is especially handy when you only have a single life remaining and you still have a long way to go.
Another cheat is pressing the F6 button. This will give you an additional missile for dishing out big damage against enemies. Particularly effective against boss fights, use the cheat as often as you need to. For additional firepower, press the F7 button and you will be able to have more powerful attacks. Now if the particular stage bores you or gives you some difficulty, you can always skip the level by pressing the F8 button. This will allow you to move on to the next level.
There is also another set of Chicken Invaders cheats that involve the use of weapons. As you may very well know, pressing or holding the left mouse button will cause your primary weapon to overheat and that is something you want to avoid from happening as much as possible. One glitch that will allow you to keep firing without overheating is to press the left mouse button with short and constant bursts instead of pressing it down. You will be able to keep the same rate of fire but the weapon will not overheat. On the other hand, you can always download add-ons for the game from third-party websites that will give you a patch for never overheating again regardless of how much you hold the left mouse button down.
Finally, a very essential trick should get you to the very end of the game without any trouble. A common misconception among players is to keep getting gift boxes that are dropped. Although it can change your weapon, it can do so in a way that will not be convenient for you. Meaning, you might be getting a weapon that is weaker than what you already have. So, if you are already good with the one you have, avoid the gift boxes altogether.
